Happy Birthday E!

Some know her as the Tablecloth Fairy and others refer to her as the Dish Fairy, and I'm lucky to call her my friend!

It's true I've been visited by both the Dish and Tablecloth Fairy and I credit Elaine with enabling my incredibly fun addiction to tablecloths, so I'm celebrating her today with this tablescape.  You can also visit another amazing celebration at Tabletop Time

Today is your birthday....

 Happy Birthday to You!

In honor of this special occasion, I'm using some of Elaine's favorites, contemporary Fiesta polka dot plates, paired with vintage ivory Fiesta, red Viking glassware and bamboo flatware (from the Flatware Fairy - yes we know her too!)

Set on a Calaprint Bamboo tablecloth she helped me find!

Happy Birthday Elaine!  I hope you have a fabulous day!

Wednesday Mexi-scape

While I have yet to find a tablecloth does not go well with my vintage or contemporary Fiesta, nothing seems more authentic than using a mexican themed cloth to take it up a notch.  I'm joining Candy from The Little Round Table and other fiesta collectors with their Mexi-scapes today.

Since I'm still enjoying the Wedding Scape on my table, I'll be sharing a few previous mexican themed tables I've set in the past:

This is a Wilendur Manjares tablecloth in the red colorway with my grandmother's/mom's vintage yellow and light green Fiesta, perfectly accompanied by the southern Arizona sunshine:

This is another Wilendure tablecloth, called Sarape, on my friend's table in Long Beach:

And finally, one of my earlier 'scapes.  An interesting combo of Contemporary Light Yellow and Turquoise Fiesta on this fun figural cloth:

Abbey and Donnie

Today I am celebrating Abbey and Donnie who are starting their new life together with a magical ceremony at Disney World!

I am joining Abbey's mom, Becky at Random Musings of a Deco Lady, along with our fellow tablescape divas, Candy at The Little Round Table, Daphne at TableTop Time and Elaine at Dishing with CaraFaye to send out best wishes for a blissful marriage!  I'm also joining my first Between Naps on the Porch event.

My part of the celebration begins with a fabulously fitting Florida tablecloth.  I'm using vintage ivory dinner plates mixed with contemporary fiesta in Ivory, Shamrock and Rose.  And of course, no Florida wedding scape would be complete without a few flamingos!

Abbey and Donnie - may you have joy and happiness all the days of your marriage.  Remember to cherish and nurture each other every day.

Congratulations to the proud parents, Becky and Mike!

Repurposing Tablecloths

I love tablecloths!  And I love making things from tablecloths.  This past week I found a pattern for a Runaround Bag by Lazy Girl Designs and made a few for some friends I was visiting in California.

This amazing pattern only took about an hour to put together.

Here are the bags in process:
