Deep Blue Sea

I've been away from tablescaping for a bit due but I am excited to be back and creating with my tablescape sister Daphne from Tabletop Time.

This is my first monochrome table.  I prefer an explosion of color but this fabulous vintage variegated blue foliage cloth was begging to be transformed into an ocean of blue!  I am using my "new" vintage Homer Laughlin Riviera dishes in mauve blue with a vintage Fiesta cobalt 8" vase and bulb candle holders, topped off with sapphire votive holders.  The vintage dishes are paired with whimsical clear fish plates.  The flatware is an older Fiesta design by Cambridge Silversmith called Evita Mirror, the napkin rings are silver tone fish, the glasses and napkins are recent thrift store finds and help complete my deep blue sea.

Please drop by soon for some coffee.. We're sharing these tabletop oceans for Tabletop Tuesday at A Stroll Through Life.

  1. Congratulations on your "new" Riviera, Rebecca! How special to find so many blue pieces at one time. I love your Deep Blue Sea. The napkin rings look great with the fish plates and bring just the right amount of shimmer to the tabletop!

  3. I am blog hopping today and found yours.....this blue tablescape is just heavenly to me. I adore the dishes and in fact, may have to start collecting them. The shade of blue in enchanting.....love your table and would enjoy being seated there for even a glass of sweet tea.
